The Robert Moses Middle School Guidance Department is committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student. Our school counselors serve as each student’s primary academic advisors while also providing guidance and support to help students navigate the middle school years with confidence and success.
Through collaboration with families, teachers, and administrators, we work to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment where every student feels connected and valued. Grounded in the RMMS 3Rs – Respect, Responsibility, and Relationships – our counselors assist students with academic planning, goal setting, and problem solving while helping them develop the skills needed to manage challenges both inside and outside the classroom.
In addition to academic advising, our department supports students’ social and emotional well-being by helping them build resilience, develop positive relationships, strengthen decision-making skills, and grow into responsible, self-aware learners. Our vision is to empower all students to reach their full potential and transition successfully to high school and beyond as confident, capable members of the RMMS community.
